The Future Stars of America
Aiming to enhance and give back to the lives of all community members through a rewarding and fun filled block party event.
Saturday, May 20th, 2017
Douglas Alumni Community Center
408 Terry Street
Pittsburg, TX 75686

Future Stars of America is an established non-profit organization formed by students from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2015.  The organization is dedicated to helping various organizations throughout the Durant, Oklahoma community while serving through volunteerism and promoting leadership and personal growth within. We are excited to finally have the opportunity to bring our efforts of public service to Pittsburg and hope to partnership with others that are likeminded in making Pittsburg a stronger community.
Unlock the Block (UTB) is designed primarily to promote and build up our youth by motivating, educating, and celebrating with positive energy while establishing the principles of a K9ology Life Dawg. (listed below)
We are planning to have various activities that includes a youth speed camp, entrepreneur session, 5KRun, live performances, and a car & bike show. There will also be a wide range of vendors set up for a day of shopping.
We are hoping that our project might be of interest to you as an opportunity to promote your products and company through a sponsorship arrangement. We offer three levels of sponsorship in hopes that one suits your budget and will help with expenses for the following:
• Douglas Alumni Building
• Equipment and supplies manuals for youth camps
• T-shirts for registered camp youth and volunteers
Please take a minute to look over the sponsorship levels on the next page. Any level you choose will certainly help us achieve our goals and are greatly appreciated. All donors will receive a gift receipt for tax purposes.
We thank you in advance for your help!

Pittsburg Art & Wine Festival to Move Venues in 2017

The Pittsburg Art & Wine Festival started off small in 2013, taking place on the Compress St ally that sits between Quitman St. and West Church St. The success of that first event inspired the festival committee to look for a new and larger location for the next year’s festival. In 2014 the event moved across the street to three empty lots that sit directly on Main Street. The festival has been held at this location for the last 3 years, but year after year, Pittsburg Art & Wine brings in more vendors and attendees. The event has had so much success that this year, the fifth year, the event will be moving again. This decision was carefully based on feedback from vendors, the majority stating their number one issue with the festival last year was the location not having enough space. The festival continues to grow with new wineries and artists being added every year.

This year we will be moving Pittsburg Art & Wine Festival to North Ave. and Marshall Streets surrounding the newly constructed Pilgrim Plaza. After seeing the success of the Home for the Holidays Christmas event in this same location, it was the obvious new location for the event to the committee. In the future, the committee will continue to ask for feedback and take a critical look at the location and space and see if it is meeting the needs of the festival and its growth or if further changes need to be made
