2009 Chamber Banquet

The Chamber holds an annual banquet to bring the community and businesses together for the evening filled with wonderful cuisine and great entertainment.  The Chamber also takes the opportunity to award the outstanding citizens of the year.  The 2009 award winners are as follows:

          Volunteer of the Year - Pittsburg Rotary Club
          Business of the Year - B & S Hardware and Lumber
          Aubrey E. Pilgrim Memorial - Chris Oefinger
          Educator of the Year - Mary Ruth Townsend
          Dr. P. A. Reitz Man of the Year - Rhett McCullough
          Drucilla Pruitt Woman of the Year - Verna Hawkins

Mount Pleasant High School Jazz Band, entertained the crowd with Music durning dinner.

Mary Ruth Townsend, Educator of the Year, with Melisa Tidball and one of her 3rd Grade students.
Rhett McCullough, winner of the Dr. P. A. Reitz Man of the Year Award, with Melisa Tidball
Verna Hawkins, winner of the Drucilla Pruitt Woman of the Year Award, with Melisa Tidball
John Livingston, emcee for the event, introduced the 3rd Grade Class which presented a video project titled "We Believe"
All of the award winners except for Verna Hawkins.
This cake was donated by Brookshire's. It was one of the items in the live auction.
