Going on at the Public Library. We have Storytime every Thursday @4. We have volunteers who read a story then have craft time with the children. We also have GED classes on Friday from 3:30-5:00. No sign-up needed and it's free! The classes will continue thru September 18, 2015. Then hopefully we will receive funding to continue classes in the fall.
Gateway to Financial Literacy Initiative of A Circle of Ten, Inc. is partnering with Pittsburg-Camp Co. Public Library to present a "Financial Fair for All" on Aug 21st 10 am to 12:30. The Fair will present info on "How to Prevent Financial Exploitation"; "How to Prevent Identity theft"; and other related topics. Our targeted group is Adults, Young Adults & Senior Citizens.
CAMP COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SEEKING MISS PEACH QUEEN CONTESTANTS
Miss Peach Queen Pageant to be held Sat. Sept. 12, 2015-PHS Auditorium
*Teenie Miss: 0-2 years old (natural presentation only)
*Tiny Miss: 3-5 years old, (natural presentation only)
*Little Miss: 6-11 years old (natural presentation only)
*Jr. Miss: 12-15 years old (formal to glamour presentation)
*Miss: 16-20 years old (formal to glamour presentation)
The Miss Peach Queen Pageant is open to single, naturally born females-who have never married; never given birth to a child; and not a parent. Contestants must be United States citizens, a resident of Camp County, and between the ages of 0-20 years of age.
Contestants are judged in three equal categories: Beauty/Poise, Personality and Evening Gown. Ticket Sales will determine a Special Prize. No talent competition or previous pageant experience required.
Entries received by Sept. 3, will require a $50 entry fee.
All entries received after Sept 3rd will be at a fee of $75 per entry
No contestant entries accepted after Sept. 5th, 2015
Applications are available at the Chamber of Commerce, Coffee Break and More. And also be at the Tailgate Party today.
