WOW WOW WOW!
That's all I can say.
This was one of the most wonderful weeks in Pittsburg. I want to start by thanking everyone who had a role in any of the activities in this years Pioneer Days. I want to thank all of our sponsors, Pilgrim's, East Texas Medical, Cypress Bank, Guaranty Bank & Trust, Cigna Health Care, Luminant, AEP, Brookshires, Capital One Bank. I want to thank the media for the coverage, the Pittsburg Gazette, the Tri County Press, the East Texas Journal, and East Texas Broadcasting (K-Lake & Star Country) thank you to the City of Pittsburg and the Pittsburg Police Dept.
It started off with the Coronation of our 2016 Peach Queen. I want to thank James Wallace and his committee for an excellent job. I want to thank all the Moms and Dads for lending us their children, they were amazing. and who will ever forget Mitch Mayben and his walk. thank you Cary for emcee. Kaycee, Hannah and Abigail, So Classy. and the young men who were called on at the last minute to "get a suit and get down here you're going to be in a pageant". thank you PISD for the use of the auditorium.
Thursdays Leadership Luncheon, thank you again to James Wallace and the cooks at Southern Wind for the wonderful lunch. thank you Kim Daily, Ronda Burns, Judy Jackson, Kathy Carpenter, Robert & Carla Peoples for the Decorations, the Lions, Kiwanis, And Rotary Clubs, and A Big thank you Sharon Sehon for the keynote speech. and Thank you to First Baptist Church for the use of your facility.
Thank you to Pilgrim Bank for the Park dedication.
Thank you Jerry's Bar & Grill, and Brian Friesth for adding one more element to out events.
Friday, thank you ETMC, Cigna and Judy Jackson for the Heath Fair. Thank you First National Bank for once again providing a hot dog lunch on the Courthouse lawn. thank you Pilgrim Bank for the Ice Cream. thank you to all the Main Street merchants for the sidewalk sales. Thank you to Cynthia Leonard, Debby DeWolfe and their committee for the Wine event. thank you Thom, Bill and Keith for the music and the donation. and thank you Chef Reeves and the Culinary School for once again going above to make this work.
Saturday, thank to everyone who were vendors, or bought something from a vendor, or if you just walked through town bought a lemonade and left, you helped make it successful. thank you to Glenda Lee, Dillon, Ino, Elaine and the Tommy Lee Bike Run. thank you to CASA for being our Grand Marshal, and to Habitat for the Bean cook off. thank you Emmanuel Baptist Church for the 5K. thank you to everyone that were in the Parade and everyone who helped organize the Parade, It looked so perfect going through town. thank you to Jerry Webster for being a calm and reassuring voice in the mist of my chaos. Thank you Julio Ramos of Papa Nachos, Benny's Bar BQ and Guaranty Bank & Trust for the BBQ cook off. Thank you boy Scouts. Thank you Odd Jobs Solution for the clean up, Thank you Sanitation solutions for the use of a 30 yard Dumpster, and even though I have never seen you, Thank you to the Street Sweeper Driver.
