Pioneer Days are a celebration of Pittsburg's rich heritage with vendor
booths featuring handcrafted gifts, art, crafts and jewelry. It is tied
in with The Farmstead Museum, which features
tours of a 100-year-old house, barn and smokehouse. The event will also
feature live entertainment with groups such as the Northeast Texas
Dulcimer Chorus, mule-drawn wagon rides, a petting zoo and pony rides,
a blacksmith, a spinning wheel demonstration, cooking contests, a quilt
display and more. We started on a small scale, but hope to
see Pioneer Days grow and become a new "old" Pittsburg tradition.
If you are a vendor interested in offering handcrafted items for sale
at Pioneer Days, you may download
an application, complete it and mail it to the Chamber
office.
